The academic goal of TIES is:

• Promoting a new leadership model for the emerging church and society rooted in human freedom and sensitivity to God's creation.

• Deepening the study of Orthodox liturgical and monastic spirituality in collaboration with similar centers, academics and Universities.

• Exploring inter-Church and inter-Faith relations and Indian spiritual resources for a just and peaceful world order.

• Dialoguing with the world about arts, sciences, and technology with an effort in shaping ethical and spiritual guidelines for a sane human living.

• Research in the history and traditions of Indian Spirituality and Orthodox Ethos
